BAXTER Consulting combines The BAXTER Method with individualized advising to help students navigate high school, college planning and the application process with confidence.
Your student's advisor gets to know the student over time, helps establish priorities and provides guidance as decisions become more complex. Students who begin earlier have more time to work gradually. Students who join later receive a more concentrated advising experience.
Active consulting clients receive progressive digital access to the applicable portion of The BAXTER Method for their current stage of the process.

One relationship through graduation.
The total consulting fee is based on when your student enters the BAXTER process. Starting earlier allows the work to happen gradually. Later entry requires a more concentrated planning and catch-up process.
Start with the foundation.
For students beginning early enough to build their college-planning foundation gradually throughout high school.

$3,000 at enrollment, followed by three $1,000 installments invoiced on August 1.
Build the plan.
For students joining after freshman-year planning has begun, with time to establish priorities before the most intensive college-planning years.
90-Minute Entry Assessment & Planning Session
A focused review of the student's current progress, priorities and foundational work so we can establish the right starting point.

$3,500 at enrollment, followed by two $1,750 installments invoiced on August 1.
Focus the work.
For students entering during the most concentrated pre-application stage, when planning, preparation and college direction need to come together quickly.
90-Minute Entry Assessment & Planning Session
A concentrated review of the student's academic, testing, activity and college-planning progress to identify priorities and foundational gaps.
+ One 60-Minute Catch-Up Session, When Needed
Additional focused time to address priority foundational work before moving fully into the current stage of the BAXTER process.

$4,000 at enrollment, followed by one $4,000 installment invoiced on August 1.
Why does later entry cost more?
Starting earlier gives us time to build the student's foundation gradually. Students joining later require a more concentrated entry process, including assessment, prioritization and catch-up work before moving into the current stage of The BAXTER Method. The difference in price reflects the intensity of that work, not simply the number of meetings.
More than meetings. Package pricing includes scheduled advising meetings as well as advisor preparation, student work review, reasonable email support, college research and application and essay guidance.

Every BAXTER Consulting relationship follows the same core process. The difference is where your student enters it.
The BAXTER Method
Progressive digital access to the applicable portion of The BAXTER Method for the student's current stage while actively enrolled in consulting.
Individual Advising
Scheduled one-on-one meetings in person or by video conference, plus reasonable email communication between meetings.
High School Planning
Academic planning, course-selection guidance, testing strategy, activities, experiences and résumé development.
College Planning
College exploration, research, list development, application strategy and recommendation planning.
Applications & Essays
Personal statement development, supplemental essay guidance and comprehensive application support for up to five colleges.
Offers & Final Decision
Financial aid and scholarship process guidance, admission-offer review and support as the student makes the final college decision.
Up to five colleges. Fully supported.
Comprehensive consulting includes application and essay support for up to five colleges, including application strategy, supplemental essay guidance and final application review.
The five-college allowance is part of the comprehensive consulting package and is not priced per college. If a student applies to fewer than five colleges, the package price does not change. Support for additional colleges may be purchased separately.
Comprehensive advising needs time to work.
Comprehensive college advising works best when there is time to build a relationship, understand the student and make thoughtful decisions before application season begins.
BAXTER accepts new comprehensive consulting clients through December 31 of the student's junior year. Beginning January 1 of junior year, comprehensive enrollment is closed.
We do not believe it is appropriate to charge a family for a comprehensive advising relationship when there is no longer enough time to provide the full process as it was designed.
Students who come to BAXTER later are still welcome to use available standalone services, including Senior Essay Support.
One total fee, paid over time.
Your consulting price is established when you enroll. Half is paid at enrollment and the remaining balance is divided across the applicable August 1 installments.
50% at Enrollment
The initial payment reserves the student's place and begins the BAXTER Consulting relationship.
August 1 Installments
The remaining balance is divided equally among the August 1 installments included in the student's entry package. Depending on enrollment date, the first August 1 installment may follow shortly after enrollment.
Flexible Cancellation
Families may end the consulting relationship in writing. Future unpaid installments are cancelled. Services require the applicable installment to be paid before advising continues.
